Anesthesia department
Anesthesia department ensures the supervision and safety of patients during medical investigations and procedures requiring sedation or anesthesia. The department's activity is focused on assessing the patient's general condition, choosing the optimal anesthesia method and permanently monitoring vital functions during the procedures.
Within the IMSP Republican Center for Medical Diagnostics, anesthesia is performed by experienced anesthesiologists, using modern monitoring equipment and respecting current medical safety protocols.
Anesthesia assistance is especially recommended for endoscopic investigations, invasive procedures, or examinations that require increased comfort and reduced patient discomfort.
Pre-anesthetic consultation
Before the procedure, the patient is consulted by the anesthesiologist, who evaluates:
- general health status;
- existing chronic diseases;
- the treatments administered;
- allergic history;
- previous experiences related to anesthesia or sedation.
It is important for the patient to inform the doctor about all medications taken, including dietary supplements or anticoagulant treatments.

Recommendations for preparation before anesthesia:
the patient must follow the instructions regarding diet and fluid consumption before the procedure;
It is important to inform the doctor about the treatments administered, allergies, chronic diseases or previous interventions;
after sedation or anesthesia, the patient is advised to avoid driving and activities that require increased attention on the same day;
